Roberts Mechanism






Roberts linkage


Roberts Mechanism converts a rotational motion to approximate straight-line motion.


The linkage was developed by Richard Roberts (1789-1864).[1]


Roberts mechanism can be classified as:




  • Grashof rocker-rocker[2]

  • symmetrical four-bar linkage[3]
