Orthodromic




This article is about a type of neuronal impulse. For orthodromic distance, see great-circle distance.

An orthodromic impulse runs along an axon in its anterograde direction, away from the soma.[1]


In the heart, orthodromic may also refer to an impulse going in the correct direction from the dendrites to axon terminal (from the atria to the ventricles) in contrast to some impulses in re-entry.

The Volkswagen Group MQB platform is the company's strategy for shared modular design construction of its transverse, front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout (optional front-engine, four-wheel-drive layout) automobiles.
