生平
海倫在电视情景喜剧《我为卿狂》（Mad About You）中出演女主角，与Paul Reiser演对手戏。1996、1997、1998、1999连续四年获得艾美奖喜剧类最佳女主角奖项。
海伦的电影生涯同样也很成功，她在《尽善尽美》（As Good As It Gets）中与杰克·尼科尔森合作，出色的演出为她带来了奥斯卡女主角奖。2000年又在《浩劫重生》（Cast Away）中与汤姆·汉克斯配戏。
私人生活
她是第一个同年（1998年）连获奥斯卡与艾美奖的女演员。
1999年7月18日她与演员汉克·阿扎里亚结婚，2000年12月18日离婚。
她与Matthew Carnahan有一个女儿。
