立陶宛语（lietuvių kalba）是立陶宛的官方语言以及欧盟的官方语言之一。在立陶宛大约有290万人[3]以其为母语，而在海外约有二十万。立陶宛语是现存的两种波罗的语族之一（另一种是拉脱维亚语，与立陶宛语能部分相互理解）。波罗的语族隶属于印欧语系。立陶宛语常被认为是现存的印欧语言中最为保守的一种，保留了原始印欧语中很多在现今印欧语言中已经流失的特征。[4]
